The Research Portal

Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026

Our Privacy Commitment

The Research Portal is built on the principle of minimal data collection. We believe your research should remain private. We do not track what you search for, we do not build profiles of your interests, and we do not use third-party trackers to monitor your behavior.

What We Do NOT Collect

  • No search query logging — Your searches are processed and forgotten. We do not store, log, or analyze what you search for.
  • No user profiling — We do not build profiles of your interests, reading habits, or research patterns.
  • No third-party tracking scripts — We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking tools. Any analytics we collect are first-party and anonymized.
  • No click trails — We do not track which results you click on or how you navigate through the site.
  • No third-party data sharing — We do not sell, share, or provide your data to any third parties for advertising or other purposes.

What We DO Collect (Minimal)

We collect only the minimum data required to provide our service:

  • Account identity — Email address and name (if provided) for account creation and login.
  • Billing records — Subscription status and payment history via Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers; Stripe handles all payment data.
  • Guest search count — For guest users (non-subscribers), we track email address and number of searches used (3 lifetime limit). We do NOT store what was searched.
  • Contact form submissions — If you contact us, we store your name, email, and message to respond to your inquiry.
  • Basic usage analytics — We collect limited, anonymous analytics such as video views and watch progress milestones (e.g., 25%, 50%) to improve the site. This data is not tied to personal profiles or search activity.

Data Security

All data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. We use HTTPS for all communications.
